Top two job roles that AI will dominate

One of the most important and remarkable trend now being implemented across several industries and stands to be a game changer is the technology of Artificial Intelligence. AI is the technology that encompasses everything from robotic process automation to actual robotics. Artificial Intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning, reasoning, and self-correction. Particular applications of AI include expert systems, speech recognition and machine vision. There has been a considerable amount of discussion and debate, excitement and fear that’s revolved around this topic. To know that machines could probably become smarter than humans and take control of major roles has created a mixed bag of emotions for many. While knowing that AI and ML (Machine Learning) can aid in identifying a disease at an early stage and provide accurate diagnosis sounds pretty cool, the realization that dawns upon one on knowing that a role of secretary can easily be replaced by AI poses a threat to many out there and that piece of information creates an unsettling feeling. In this article we will dwell on two job roles AI will surely dominate and take over in the coming years.

1. AI Vs Doctors- Imagine a world without the engagement of human surgeons performing complex, time consuming surgeries! It is estimated that AI and robotics have the potential of performing complex surgeries. According to a recent set of experiments, STAR’s (Smart Tissue Autonomous Robot) innovators showcased that it performed highly accurate cuts as compared to expert surgeons and also caused fewer damages to the surrounding flesh. To cite an illustration of the contribution of AI in the field of healthcare and medicine is ‘Eyeagnosis’ (Eye diagnosis). A sixteen year old Indian girl, Kavya Kopparapu discovered Eyeagnosis- a system which uses a smartphone app and 3D printed lens to recognize signs of diabetic retinopathy and offers preliminary diagnostics which otherwise would be an expensive procedure. AI and ML are also helping in early detection of diseases and providing the right diagnosis. This is just goes to prove how AI will contribute in leaps and bounds in the near future in the medical field.

2. A game changer in recruitment and hiring processes- In the coming years we will also see the role of recruitment agents being taken over by an automated system. AI will help eliminate the repetitive chores of humans in the recruitment field and instead their potential will be utilized to the fullest in the other fields of expertise. A completely automated system which will enable selecting the right talent as well as hire the right candidate will make the process speedy, accurate and ensure right optimization of time.
